Launch of the Ebook “Climate litigation in Brazil: legal arguments for the inclusion of the climate variable in environmental licensing.” Public class.
The Research Group on Law, Environment, and Justice in the Anthropocene (JUMA/NIMA/PUC-Rio), the Brazilian Association of Members of the Public Ministry for the Environment (ABRAMPA) and PUC-Rio Publishing House held the open class “Environmental Law and Climate Change: Assessment of Climate Impacts in Environmental Licensing.” The launch of the Ebook "Climate Litigation in Brazil: Legal Arguments for the Insertion of the Climate Variable in Environmental Licensing,” was part of this course.
The results of JUMA/NIMA/PUC-Rio’s research were discussed together with ABRAMPA, which has been working on developing a reference term and a risk matrix that can be used to analyze the climate impacts of activities and projects still undergoing the environmental licensing process.
