Founder and coordinator of the Research Group “Law, Environment, and Justice in the Anthropocene” (JUMA), which integrates the Environmental Law Division of NIMA/PUC-Rio (NIMA-Jur). Doctor and Master in Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, working with the Postgraduate Program in Law and the Interdisciplinary Center for the Environment (NIMA/PUC-Rio). Member of the Advisory Board of NIMA/PUC-Rio. Academic Coordinator of the Postgraduate Course (specialization level) in Environmental Law at PUC-Rio. Academic Coordinator of the Association of Environmental Law Professors in Brazil (APRODAB). Vice-President of the Southeast Region of the Institute “The Law for a Green Planet.” Vice-President of the Deliberative Council of the Brazilian Fund for Biodiversity (FUNBIO). She was legal advisor to FUNBIO, to the Rio de Janeiro’s Environmental Protection Agency (currently INEA), and to the State Institute of Forestry Foundation (IEF / RJ, currently INEA). Danielle is the mother of Bruna, Tiago, and Flora.

Luciana Tse Chaves Garcia Rego
Researcher at the Research Group on Law, Environment, and Justice in the Anthropocene (JUMA) affiliated with the Environmental Law Coordination of the Interdisciplinary Center for the Environment (NIMA-Jur) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Law student at PUC-Rio. She participated in meetings for the Study and Research Group on the Inter-American System of Human Rights (GEP-SIDH) of the Human Rights Center (NDH) at PUC-Rio. She was an intern at the Public Defender's Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro at the 28th Criminal Court of the Capital District. She was a scientific initiation researcher at JUMA / NIMA / PUC-Rio. She was a Teaching Assistant for the Extension Courses “Environmental Law and Climate Change” and “Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Compliance for the Oil and Gas Sector”, both organized by PUC-Rio.
